Martin Stone is Professor of Philosophy at Hoger Instituut voor Wijsbegeerte, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium . He visits King's College London regularly as a Visiting Professor of PhilosphyField of Research Late Medieval Philosophy; Renaissance Philosophy, and Early Modern Scholasticism. Professor Stone has a BA in Classics and Philosophy from King's College, University of London and a MA in Philosophy from the University of Paris . After spending a period of post-graduate study at the University of Cambridge he returned to the University of London to complete the research degrees of M.Phil and Ph.D at Birkbeck College . He was a British Academy post-doctoral researcher in early modern philosophy at the Warburg Institute London, and has held temporary tutorial appointments at the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford . Before coming to Leuven he was lecturer in the Philosophy of Religion at King's College London.
